Singapore-bound Loves land US title

Go Team Love.

Davis Love III and Dru Love will arrive at next January’s SMBC Singapore Open as winners of the PNC Father-Son Challenge in the United States.

Playing in the event for the eighth time, the family duo took their second title in record-breaking fashion at the weekend.

Their 16-under 56 in a scramble format during the final round at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, and their total of 26-under 118 both set new scoring marks for the tournament.

The Loves will be hoping to maintain that low scoring form when they compete in the SMBC Singapore Open at Sentosa Golf Club from January 17-21, 2019.

World Golf Hall of Famer Love III is looking forward to starting his season at the SMBC Singapore Open, where Spain’s Sergio Garcia will be defending the title he won in emphatic fashion earlier this year.

“I have played golf all over the world and so I am really excited to have the opportunity to play a tournament in Singapore, where I have not been before,” said 54-year-old Love III.

For the fourth consecutive year the SMBC Singapore Open will be jointly-sanctioned by the Asian Tour and the Japan Golf Tour Organisation. It will be the opening event of the season on both circuits.
